Thank you for your interest in summer employment with Camp Tapawingo. We are a United Church camp which has been located in a beautiful bay at Candle Lake for over 60
years.
We are presently seeking applications for Program director, Recreation director (NLS required), Male and Female Counselors, Cook, Medical Personnel and Chaplain.
If you would like to be a part of an enriching summer camping experience, enjoy working with children and have a love of the outdoors this is a great opportunity for you.

Job Descriptions
Program Director
must be 21 by April 2011 and is responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of the summer programs through the direct supervision of all staff, organizing cabin and activity groups and acting as a
liaison between the board of directors and the staff through out the summer. This position begins May 15 carrying on through the camping season up at camp and until September 15. May, June and September are half time pay
positions with July and August being at full time pay and spent at camp. Half time pay is $1000 per month with full time pay at $2000 per month.
Recreation Director
is a full time activity coordinator and planner as well as full time life guard and water front. Rec director must be 18 by April 2010 and hold a valid NLS. This position is from June 26
– Aug 21 and the pay is $1800 per month.
Counselors
are directly responsible for the 24 hour care of his or her cabin group as well as the general well being of all campers at the camp and implementing the program as laid out by the Program Director. As we are a United Church Camp it is
expected that counselors are good role models to all children at camp and conduct themselves as such at all times Counselors lead a variety of activities as well as lead bible study,vespers and camp fires. Counselors must be 18 by April 2011.
The position is from June 25 to August 21. Salary is $1600 per month.
Medical Personnel
is directly responsible 24 hours for any minor injuries or administering any medications that campers require. Medical personnel must be a valid RN, MD, or EMT. Pay is $1800
per month.
Camp Cook
makes meal plans, orders supplies, preps meals, cleans and organizes kitchen and cooks all meals for the entire camp the duration of each camp. Applicants must have previous kitchen experience
cooking for large groups and have completed a food safety course. Pay is &1700 per month from June 25 to Aug. 21.
