The summer is flying by as we are now over half way through our camps. We ended our family camp on Sunday and said goodbye to a great group of families. It was great to see a variety of faces and a variety of ages. We have moved onto a great 10-12 camp and have had a great first day. The great manners and energy continue once again into another week.
Cabin One and Cabin Eight had the joy of cleaning the bathrooms today as part of their Daily Duties. Cabin Nine had served breakfast so they were busy washing the dishes and the rest of the Cabins were busy cleaning up their cabin in hopes of winning the cleanest cabin award.
Paul Epp has generously spent many hours the past few days working on both of our water pumps. We appreciate all the time he has spent out with the mosquitos getting us up and running again. We have a new found appreciation for the flow of water through our taps!
The staff rested up over the weekend after an energy filled and exciting week with the first group of 10-12 year olds campers. It was a jammed packed camp with 60 campers who had energy that was endless. We are moving into a our first 12-14 year old camp with 40 awesome campers!
We have said goodbye to our 7-9 year old campers with a very exciting first camp saturday! The camp saturday was very successful and we would like to thank all the parents, grandparents, guardians and families that came out. We have started our second week with an energetic group of 10-12 year olds.
Following the Holiday Theme we have for our 7-9 year olds, we were lucky enough to do some trick-or-treating in July. Campers went cabin to cabin where they found both tricks and treats. Most of the campers told me that they were dressed as Tapawingo campers.
After our campers arrived we kicked the summer off with a much needed swim. The water was surprisingly warm! Our excitement for a great week is shared amongst campers, counselors and the rest of our awesome staff.
