Camp Tapawingo is governed by and planned for by a dedicated group of people who tirelessly volunteer their time to sit on the board of directors. This board is comprised of people who have all been involved with camp in some capacity over the years. They have either been a camper or staff at some point, have children who have gone to camp or just have the desire to make a difference in a child's life. They give time from their busy lives and day jobs to help the camp continue to run.The Board of Directors meets monthly to make decisions that influence the long-term direction of the camp and the management of the operations. This group believes that Christian Camping is just as important today as it was in 1948 when Tapawingo was founded, maybe even more so now as our youth face social media pressures, spend less time in nature, less time in a faith community and less time connecting in real-time with their peers and role models.
