RENTALS
Facilities and Grounds


Facility rentals are available for groups looking to utilize Tapawingo’s  Camp buildings and grounds for non-staffed events. or School Rentals.  Facility rentals are available for single days or overnight bookings. The Rental Policies and Information Booklet below has all the information you need.

How to Inquire about Bookings:
  1. Submit the form below to determine available camping dates. Available dates often fill up early.
  2. Camp is available for rentals in late May, June, Late August and September. *During July and August, we run our children’s overnight summer programs, so facilities are not available for rentals in July and August.
  3. Once we receive your booking form, we will be in touch to confirm your rental with a contract and deposit form.

Canoes, kayaks, paddle boats
Large recreation field for soccer, wide games, etc. 
shallow sandy  beach area for swimming 
wood-burning rustic sauna at the swim beach
a separate shallow canoe beach area and boat house storage
large fire pit with rustic log benches 
walking paths through the forest
Vesper Hill with benches on the shore for reflection
labyrinth in the woods to walk for contemplation 
 Gaga Ball Arena
beach volleyball 

Buildings:

Dining Hall, tables and bench-style seating, lounge with couches
Kitchen, grill, three ovens, food warmers, coolers, all cooking utensils, crock pots, roasters,
Cabins with single-size bunk beds with mattresses for 8  and 1 free-standing twin in each (9 cabins)
Craft cabin, with tables and benches 
Bathroom House, male and female sides, shower house, 4 stall unisex
Staff Cabin 3 bedrooms, half bathroom (* not always available)
Rustic staff cabin (2 separate sleep areas)
Capacities:
80  (in bunkbed cabins) 
8 (double capacity in staff cabins)


Rental Fees (updated fall 2025):
Fees for Grounds and Facilities access, and Self-Catering Access to the Kitchen charges:
Daily minimums (10 am to 5 pm)are - $600 up to 25 people 
Overnight minimums (1o am to 1 pm the next day) are $900 up to 25 people
additional cost per person over a 25-person group:
Weekends-$22/person/day (Fri., Sat, Sun)
Weekdays- $20/person/day (Mon- Thurs.).        
 
School Outdoor 'Summer Camp Experience'  Activity  Program Charges:
School groups-$600 daily minimum charge up to 25 students, Additional $15 per student/day        
Swimming area + life guard - $200/day
Leadership – $150/leader/day (depending on the size of the school group, Minimum 4 Tapawingo leaders)
*school groups provide 1 chaperon/supervisor per 8 students and stay in the cabins with students
.*school groups provide their own groceries and volunteers with self-catering access to our kitchen and equipment

​Available Late May, June, late August and September. *We run our overnight summer camp programs throughout July and August and do not accommodate rentals during those times..
 
Deposit:
Applications for all rentals must include a damage/cancellation deposit equal to half of the total rental fee. The deposit confirms the rental reservation & ensures the date(s) will be held.
If the rental is deposited 60 days or more before the rental date, the deposit, minus a $50 administration fee, is refundable.
If the rental is cancelled 30 days before the rental date, 50% of the fee is refundable.
If the rental is cancelled less than 30 days before the rental date, but more than 7 days before, the deposit can be used towards a rescheduled date. 
Anything less than  7 days 100% deposit if forfeited.
The full amount of the rental fee is due 7 days before the rental date. If the final balance is left unpaid on arrival day, the rental group will not be granted access to the site, and the deposit will be forfeited.
