Our purpose at Camp Tapawingo is to provide campers with the opportunity to know and grow in their faith and with each other while living in a natural setting.
2021 Covid Update
We are very sad to say that we have once again made the hard decision to cancel our overnight summer programs this year. While we were all hoping that summer 2021 would see the return of kids running through the games field, swimming in the lake and singing around the campfire we have decided to remain cautious. After much discussion at our board meetings the last few months we have realized that logistically, financially and practically it will be too difficult to try to run camp and offer an authentic Tapawingo experience while trying to follow all of the provincial covid guide lines.
In fact, currently there are still no guidelines for overnight camps in Saskatchewan. That means that no normal programming can currently happen at camp because the only guidelines we have are “Overnight camps are not permitted. We can’t plan well for summer 2021, or hire staff or register any campers because we don’t know what to prepare for or if we will be allowed to run if current restrictions continue into or past summer.
We would very much like to remind all of our campers and alumni that Tapawingo misses you and just isn’t the same without you! Please keep Tapawingo in your heart and be your best Tapa - selves! If you are able to support the future of Camp Tapawingo with a covid relief donation to help us through these difficult times it would be gratefully accepted to help cover some of the camps maintenance costs and to ensure our future. Please check our website and social media posts regularly for any updates on how to stay connected with camp or to help with some volunteer projects.
We hope every one is well and keeping safe and we very much hope to see you all next summer.
